PIKEVILLE, Ky. – Senior Day 2024 was a smashing success for the women's basketball program at the University of Pikeville, as it rolled to a 97-47 win over Bluefield (Va.) College on Saturday afternoon.

The win raised UPike to 17-7 overall, 13-5 in the AAC. The Rams fell to 3-21 overall, 3-16 in the league.

Among the many honors for the Bears, senior
Morgan Stamper recorded her 13
th double-double this season and the 49
th of her career. She finished with 19 points and 16 rebounds.

Stamper was one of four Bears to reach double figures in the scoring column. She was joined by graduate student
Bailey Frazier with a team-high 20 points to go with eight rebounds; sophomore
Allie Stone with 18 and senior
Bailey Birchfield, who finished with 11 points, three steals and a team-best four assists.

After sophomore Tamera Maple scored to put the Rams up 4-2, UPike closed the opening period on a 26-2 run to take command. The run began with a 17-point outburst for the Bears.

Allie Stone nailed a three-pointer at the buzzer, the Bears led 28-6.

Maple paced the Rams with 21 points. Sophomore Elle Gunter finished with 16 points and eight rebounds to join her in double figures.

UPike will return home on Wednesday night, hosting Brenau (Ga.) University. The game, which will be played at the UPike Gym, will begin at 5:30 p.m.
