Bradley Bunch fired in 24 and senior
Issac Stanback recorded another double-double as the University of Pikeville picked up a big road win, knocking off St. Andrews University 85-73 on Saturday afternoon.

For Stanback, who had 19 points and 11 rebounds, it was his second straight double-double, his seventh in the last eight games and his 14
th on the season.

UPike (18-6, 16-4 in the AAC) held a 19-15 lead in the first half before it went on a 12-3 run. Five players scored for the Bears, with Bunch scoring four, including the layup with 4:38 left to make the lead 31-18.

Connor Lane sent the Bears to the break with a 35-23 lead.

The Bears scored seven of the first eight in the second half to open a 42-24 lead on a
Jeremy Dillon free throw with 18:39 left.

St. Andrews (4-18, 1-18) used a pair of 6-0 runs to get back in the game, the last turned into a 10-2 run. The last ended with consecutive baskets by senior Garrett McRae to cut the Bears lead to 48-42 with 14:21 remaining.

Moments later, the Bears needed only 1:28 to score nine unanswered points to spread the game out. It opened with a three by Bunch before Stanback, Lane and senior
Jeremy Dillon scored inside, making the score 61-45 with 11:45 left on the clock.

Bunch was 10-of-15 overall and 3-for-7 from the arc for his 24 points. Junior
Kyonte Thomas had 11 points with four rebounds and two assists, while Lane came off the bench for 10 points.

Dillon was solid across the board for the Bears, scoring nine points, pulling six rebounds and handing out five assists.

Senior Jalen Mcaffee-Williams led the Knights with 25 points and five assists. McRae followed with 12 while senior Allen Taylor tossed in 11.

The Bears will be back in action on Saturday when they entertain Bluefield (Va.) University. The game is scheduled for the UPike Gym and is the second game of a doubleheader and scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.
