GAINESVILLE, Ga. – A single score in the 41
st minute on Wednesday afternoon was all the University of Pikeville women's soccer team would need to knock off Brenau (Ga.) University 1-0.

The win improved the Bears to 3-1 on the season and ran its win streak to three, but most importantly, it gave them a 2-0 record against AAC competition, with both of them coming on the road.

The goal was scored by freshman
Rebekah Christopher, a freshman from Berea. She found the net for the second time this season off a pass from sophomore
Charlene Lofqvist as the teams were closing out the first half.

It was one of four shots on goal for the Bears in the contest. Christopher had another one, as did junior
Sadie Bourgeois and sophomore
Anna Dudas.

Meanwhile, senior
Millie Conod was perfect in net, going all 90 minutes and turning away both Golden Tigers' shots on goal.

They were taken by sophomore Ryalie Acker and sophomore Xiomara Lara.

The Bears will be back in action on Saturday when they return home to host Johnson (Tenn.) University. First kick is scheduled for 1 p.m. on the turf at Bob Amos Park.
