PIKEVILLE, Ky. – Junior guard
Bradley Bunch fired in 28 points to lead the University of Pikeville to a 92-81win over Bluefield (Va.) University.

The game, played Wednesday afternoon at Appalachian Wireless Arena, was a makeup of a contest originally scheduled for Tuesday that was delayed due to weather.

On Wednesday, the Bears led by as many as 24, coming with 12:18 to play, and survived a comeback that saw the Rams get as close as 10 down the stretch before pulling away.

UPike (15-3, 8-2 in the AAC) had four players in double digits in the scoring column. Bunch, who also had eight rebounds and three assists, was joined by junior guard
LA Walker with 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Keynan Cutlip had 14 points, while junior guard
Tyler Best came off the bench for 13 points thanks to 3-of-5 shooting from the arc.

The Bears, who also got three triples from Bunch, finished the game 11-for-26 (42.3 percent) from the arc.

Bluefield (3-9, 3-5), which only had five players score, got a fine performance from senior guard Quantavis McKinney. He was 5-of-9 from the arc to finish with 26 points to pace three Rams in double figures. Junior Elijah White followed with 20 points to go with five assists.

Senior Donavon Martin finished with 18 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots.

UPike is scheduled to return to the court on Saturday afternoon, when they play Truett McConnell University at 4 p.m. in Cleveland, Ga.
