The University of Pikeville baseball team played host to Campbellsville University on Tuesday afternoon and suffered a 21-9 loss.

The Tigers improved to 17-7 on the season and have now won 12 consecutive games.

The Bears did most of their damage in the middle innings, scoring three times in the third and four in the fourth, but got no closer than 16-8.

It wasn't all bad for the Bears, as designated hitter
Garren Gledhill had three hits, including a double, scored twice and drove in two. Third baseman
Mason Melton had a hit and drove in a pair.

Francis Subero had a double and an RBI, while catcher
Tanner Gerosa had a single and drove one in. Left fielder
Noah Brooks singled and scored twice.

Riley Paulino doubled and scored, while second baseman
Cam Revolt walked three times and scored twice.

Catcher James Jeets was a hitting star for the Tigers with two hits, including a homer, driving in four. First baseman Bret Bowers also had a homer among his two hits, with three RBI and two runs scored.

Right fielder Tanner Park homered and drove in three.

UPike (11-11) saw a three-game win streak end. The Bears will return to Johnnie LeMaster Field and AAC play on Friday when it begins a three-game series with Milligan (Tenn.) University. The first game of a doubleheader begins at noon.
