DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The University of Pikeville dance team wrapped up the 2025 NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship in the hip hop finals.  

After taking second in the hip hop prelims Friday evening, the Bears took second place in the hip hop finals. In the finals, UPIKE recorded a score of 56.32/70.00 with a percent perfection score of 80.4571. The Bears' score in the finals was 0.9142 points better than their performance in the prelims.  

The results for the hip hop finals were No. 1 Roosevelt University (Ill.), No. 2 UPIKE, No. 3 Oklahoma City University, No. 4 Ottawa University – Arizona, and No. 5 Central Methodist University (Mo.).  

"I'm so incredibly proud of this team. They didn't just deserve this, they earned it. I love this program and I just thank God for this platform to do what we love," said Head Coach Hanna Case.
