A goal with 17 seconds remaining gave visiting Columbia (S.C.) College women's soccer a 2-2 tie with the University of Pikeville on Saturday afternoon at Bob Amos Park.

UPike (5-0-2, 2-0-1) took a lead in the 22
nd minute and maintained it until the final minute before the Koalas rallied for the tie.

While Columbia didn't have a shot on goal in the first half, UPike had three and one of them found its mark. In the 22
nd minute, senior Keira Bailey found junior
Jayla Boyd for the score.

Boyd, the league's leading scorer, now has six goals on the season to go with five assists, and the Bears took a 1-0 lead to the break.

The UPike lead grew to 2-0 in the 70
th minute when junior
Charlene Lofqvist broke free for an unassisted goal.

Columbia (2-2-2, 0-2-1) began its rally in the 82nd minute when Malia Kincaid scored thanks to help from Grace Underwood to pull her team within a single strike.

Then, in the final minute, Kincaid again found the back of the net off a pass from Alyssa Collins with the goal that resulted in the tie.

Not only did each team score twice, but also both had five shots on goal in the contest.

Allyson Gonzalez played the first half but was replaced at halftime by junior
Nevaeh Brown, who faced all five shots on goal on the day.

The Bears will return to action on Wednesday when they visit Bluefield (Va.) University. The contest is slated for a 4 p.m. start.
