WALESKA, Ga. – Reinhardt University hit 43 percent from the three-point line in an 81-61 win over the University of Pikeville on Saturday afternoon.

The win keeps the Eagles atop the AAC standings with only a week left in the regular season. They're 16-1 in the conference and 19-5 on the season.

UPike is now 13-12 on the season and 12-5 in the league.

Reinhardt got a pair of three-pointers to start the game from Emariah Grant to take a 6-0 lead. The Bears battled back and tied the game at 22 after getting four straight from freshman
Anika Stehbens with 1:15 left, but went to the break trailing 24-22.

UPike scored five of the first seven points of the second period, and when Stehbens scored on a layup with 7:09 left, the Bears went in front 27-26.

But the Eagles answered with a 16-2 run over the next 3:41 and never trailed again.

Stehbens led the Bears with 20 points, seven rebounds and two steals. Junior
Rachel Bush had 13 points and six rebounds, while freshman
Sophie Adkins scored 10 with seven rebounds.

Senior forward
Jaidy Mejia-Andrade finished with six points, six rebounds and three blocked shots and now leads the league with 46 blocks on the season.

Grant led four Eagles in double figures with 17 points. She was 5 for 11 from the arc. Freshman Audrey Ekoue-Bla followed with 16 points.

Senior Londaisha Smith had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while sophomore Lana VanDyle had 13 and six rebounds.

UPike will return home on Monday night, entertaining Spartanburg Methodist (S.C.) University in a game rescheduled due to the recent snow and ice storms. It will tip off at 5:30 p.m. at the UPike Gym.
