Bunch named First-Team All-America by NAIA and NABC

His career may be over, but the honors and recognitions are still coming in for University of Pikeville standout Bradley Bunch.

On Monday, the NAIA announced he was on the 12-player All-America First Team, and only hours later, he was named a First-Team All-America by the NABC.

Bunch, a 6-6 senior from Big Stone Gap, Va., is a repeat to the NAIA list, where he was a second-team selection last season.

The two-time AAC player of the year, Bunch 16.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game this season, playing a key role on a team that finished 27-5, won the AAC regular-season championship and competed in the national tournament for the fourth straight season.

Bunch shot 50.5 percent from the field, 39.1 percent from the arc and 79.1 percent from the free throw line this season.

He was also named to the league's all-defensive team. He averaged 6.2 defensive rebounds per game with 33 steals and 17 blocked shots.

For his career, Bunch scored 1,738 points, making him the 10th most prolific scorer in school history.

Bunch is the first Bear to be named a first-team All-America since Javian De La Cruz after the 2018-19 season. He is also only the eighth Bear to be named NAIA All-America two times in school history.

Bunch was one of two players representing the AAC on the NAIA All-America teams. Mason Lockhart of Johnson (Tenn.) was on the third team.
