Zach Minnick

Zach Minnick is entering his third season as UPIKE’s Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator in 2021-22.

Son of Albert and Johnnie Minnick…Born in Charleston, W.Va.

Named 2015 Gatorade West Virginia Player of the Year as a senior… 2015 Louisville Slugger First Team All-American… Owned a career .465 batting average, adding 22 home runs, 15 triples and 136 RBI in four seasons at Logan High School… Posted a 22-5 career pitching record with a 1.73 ERA and 229 strikeouts in 170 innings… A four-year varsity starter, earning first team all-state honors three times… Ranked No. 125 nationally by Prep Baseball Report and No. 1 in W.Va.… Ranked No. 3 overall in W.Va. and No. 1 as a catcher.

Four-year starter at NCAA D-I Campbell University in the Big South Conference. During Minnick’s career, he helped lead the Fighting Camels to a 123-106 and clinching two regular season and two Big South titles. Career .255 hitter with 168 hits, 42 doubles, 16 HR, and 120 RBI. In 2018, Minnick attended the Athens Regional and attended the Greenville regional in 2019.

Minnick received his Bachelor of Sport Management and a minor in Business from Campbell University in 2019.

In the summer, he coached the 15u Keystone State Bombers. During his short time with the Bombers, he sent one player to the reigning College World Series champions, Vanderbilt and one player to the Big 10 (Maryland).
