UPIKE Athletics

Robert Erik Mobley is in his eighth season as an assistant coach with the UPIKE football team, serving as a graduate assistant in 2013 and 2014, followed by two seasons as a volunteer coach, before moving into a full-time spot with the offensive line and strength & conditioning in 2017. 

For two years before taking on the full-time role, Mobley was on staff with the Student Success office at UPIKE. The Pelion, S.C., native continued his football playing career after high school at UPIKE as a standout on the offensive line from 2009 to 2012. While becoming a three-time All Mid-South Conference performer, Mobley finished his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. 

He recently completed a Master’s Degree in Sport Management from UPIKE. Erik Mobley and his wife Michelle have been happily married for two years this past May and father to a beautiful baby girl, Nora Mobley.
