Coach Gray Davis joined the University of Pikeville coaching staff in 2024, after the conclusion of his playing career. He brings vast experience as a player, and a passion for offensive line play, to the UPike football program. He has been instrumental in the development of five all-conference offensive linemen and an AFCA First Team All-American player in Jordan Scott during his short time with the Bears.
Coach Davis played his college football at the University of Nevada from 2017-2021, and for one year at Colorado State University in 2022. He started a combined 38 games on the offensive line, at the FBS level, while earning all-conference honors. Davis concluded his playing career by going to a camp, with the Denver Broncos, in the summer of 2023.
Davis is a native of Dallas, Texas and graduated high school from Parish Episcopal in 2017. Coach Davis graduated from the University of Nevada with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2020.Â
