Coach Hoskins, his wife Bailey, son Kannon and daughter Kambreigh
Hoskins enters his third season with the Bears as the Quarterbacks coach after a Hall of Fame playing career. This isn’t the only time joining the Bears’ coaching staff as he spent time as a graduate assistant in 2013 and 2014 after completing his playing career in 2012.
Starting in 2017, Hoskins worked at D1 Training in Knoxville where he trained quarterbacks. The facility is ranked as one of the top 30 gyms in America by Men’s Health and has produced some of the country’s top talent at all age levels.
Prior to the stop in Knoxville, Hoskins was the offensive coordinator at Middlesboro High School, where he also graduated, for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
A native of Middlesboro, Ky., Hoskins graduated from Middlesboro High School in 2007. He attended Eastern Kentucky University on a football scholarship for two seasons where he was part of two OVC championships before transferring to UPIKE in 2010. Hoskins started at quarterback for three seasons at UPIKE, being named the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week twice and NAIA National Player of the Week once. Despite not playing all four seasons at Pikeville, he still finished with 7,481 yards passing, which is 2,000 more than any other player, and threw 64 touchdowns, which is 25 more than the next arm on the list.
Hoskins’ 2,673 passing yards in 2010 are the most in a single season and the 607 yards he threw for against Georgetown in 2010 are the most in a single game. He threw six touchdowns in a game twice, which is also a program record. Hoskins graduated from UPIKE in 2013 with an undergraduate degree in Communications and completed his Masters in Sports Management. Coach Hoskins and his wife, former UPIKE Volleyball player Bailey Hoskins have been married for 5 years and welcomed their twins, Kannon and Kambreigh, into the family this January.
