Asa Duvall enters his first season as a graduate assistant coach for the UPIKE Men's Basketball program for the 2022-2023 season.
Duvall comes to UPIKE after having spent the last two seasons with the Tennessee State University Men’s Basketball program. His duties at TSU included assisting with recruiting videos, managing all game day film operations, and performing other operational duties.
Prior to Tennessee State, Duvall served a short stint as the assistant coach at Cincinnati Christian University.
Duvall played college basketball at Lipscomb University and saw action in 60 contests as a reserve, leading the team in assist to turnover ratio as a sophomore while also earning academic accolades as an ASUN Conference Scholar. In his final year for the Bison, Duvall helped lead Lipscomb to its first ever appearance in the NCAA tournament.Â
Duvall prepped at Hargrave Military Academy where he started at point guard and helped lead the Tigers to a 32-8 record and No. 2 national ranking among postgraduate programs. Duvall left Hargrave ranked as the 15th best player in the state of Virginia and 74th ranked shooting guard in the nation.
A Nashville, Tenn. native, Duvall attended Brentwood High School where he helped the team reach the TSSAA final four for the first time in school history. Duvall graduated from Lipscomb University with a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in Corporate Management.
