Madison McGee has joined the University of Pikeville volleyball staff as a graduate assistant coach.
McGee comes to UPike from Muskingum (Ohio) University, where she completed two majors. She has degrees both in athletic training and health and fitness.
As a graduate assistant, she will seek an MBA in Healthcare Management from the Coleman College of Business.
As a player, McGee was a two-time All-Ohio Athletics Conference selection. As a junior, she had 268 kills, averaging 3.88 per set. She also totaled 722 total attempts, 184 digs, and 23 total blocks in helping her team to the Ohio Athletics regular-season championship.
During her sophomore campaign, she was named an AVCA Div. III Honorable Mention All-America and to the Great Lakes All-Region team in addition to being second-team all-OAC. She also had career-high numbers with 318 kills, 837 total attempts, 68 digs and 45 blocks.
That season, she helped the Fighting Muskies to the OAC regular-season championship and was a member of the NCAA Div. III volleyball tournament bound team.
Her senior season saw her limited to five matches, during which she recorded 63 kills and 39 assists.
