PIKEVILLE, Ky. – Lee Rouson, former NFL player with the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns, will be speaking on the University of Pikeville campus at 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday in the Booth Auditorium. Admission is free and open to the general public.
The event is being brought to Pikeville by Sports World, a nationally known organization located in Indianapolis, Ind. The group sends former professional athletes across the United States to share their personal life experiences and to encourage students to make positive choices while challenging them with a message of Hope.
The two-time Super Bowl champion Rouson graduated from the University of Colorado where he played for Coach Bill McCartney. He is the fourth all-time leading rusher and played a key role in turning the Colorado program into a national champion.
Rouson's two Super Bowls were won while playing for the Giants and legendary head coach Bill Parcells.
Following Rouson's message, the UPIKE men's basketball team hosts its home opener at 7:30 p.m. ET against Tennessee Wesleyan at the East Kentucky Exposition Center.
