PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- Ninth-ranked Lindsey Wilson has won 16 straight matches, not losing since Aug. 29, and is the next test in the Mid-South Conference for the University of Pikeville volleyball team at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday at UPIKE Gym.

While the Bears (12-10) are still looking for their first MSC win, they have been good in October, winning three of four matches, including a pair of 3-0 sweeps of Alice Lloyd and Johnson (Tenn.). But the Blue Raiders (20-2, 7-0 MSC) are the highest ranked team UPIKE has faced all season, following a 3-0 loss to then-No. 13 Georgetown and a 3-0 loss to the then-No. 12 Blue Raiders in late September.

The current No. 9 ranking in the NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Poll is the second highest for Lindsey Wilson in its program history, one spot behind the No. 8 ranking it received in 2013. The 2014 Blue Raiders are efficient on the attack, hitting a .275 percentage, compared to .172 for UPIKE. LWC also dishes out nearly 12 assists per set while the Bears hand out 8.3.
