BLUEFIELD, Va. – After having its four-game Mid-South Conference winning streak snapped on Saturday, the University of Pikeville softball team got back to its winning ways on Monday, sweeping Bluefield (Va.) 10-2 in six innings and 9-4.

The Bears improve to 13-22 overall and 9-17 in the MSC, while the Rams drop to 3-37 overall and 1-27 in league play. UPIKE is one game out of eighth place in the conference standings and has 10 games left in the regular season. The top eight MSC teams qualify for the conference tournament.

Tuesday's doubleheader at home against Asbury (Ky.) has been canceled due to inclement weather, leaving a trip to Shawnee State in Portsmouth, Ohio at 1 p.m. ET on Friday as the next scheduled games.
