PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- For the first time since the 2012 season, the University of Pikeville and Campbellsville are primed to meet on the gridiron with kickoff scheduled for 2 p.m. ET on Saturday at Powell Stadium in Campbellsville, Ky.

UPIKE (2-4, 1-0 MSC East) is coming off another close loss, falling against Cumberland (Tenn.) 37-33 last weekend. It's the third time this season the Bears have lost by four points or less, but travelling to Campbellsville gives UPIKE another chance to improve as it gears up for the final four MSC East games of the season.

Campbellsville (3-2, 1-0 MSC West) enters the game with momentum after knocking off then-No. 3 Faulkner (Ala.) 59-50. It's the second straight season that the Tigers have knocked off a ranked Eagle team. Campbellsville enters Saturday on a three-game winning streak, knocking off Union and Faulkner on the road and Bluefield (Va.) at home.

The Tigers opened the season 0-2 after a 27-24 loss at home against Cumberlands and a 35-25 loss on the road at then-No. 24 Webber International (Fla.). Following big wins last weekend, both Campbellsville and Cumberlands are receiving votes in the NAIA top-25 poll.

The matchup to look out for on Saturday will be the UPIKE pass defense, ranked sixth nationally allowing just 143 yards per game, against Tiger senior quarterback Jacob Russell who is third nationally in passing yards per game at 334.8. Russell is also dangerous on the ground as he tops the NAIA in total offense per contest at 371.6 yards.
