WISE, Va. -- For the second time this season, the University of Pikeville men's tennis team registered a 9-0 shutout, topping UVa.-Wise on the road on Wednesday.

In fact, all but one of the matches were routs, including doubles where UPIKE won 8-2, 8-0, 8-1.

Only Enzo Douillac had some trouble at the top seed, falling in the first set 7-5 to Vladyslav Akimenko before going on to win 6-2, 7-5 the rest of the way.

The closest match after that was at the second seed where Fernando Fernandez got past Andrii Rutnytsky 6-2, 6-2.

Doubles got the Bears off to a good start at 3-0 for the match, starting with the second-seeded duo of Eric Bernabeu and Diego Reboredo topping Oleg Kopychenko and Viktor Tunnikov 8-0.

UPIKE's Pedro Azevedo had the most dominant performance in singles, taking down Blake Pientka 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 6 seed.
