PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- Since the 2008 season, the University of Pikeville and Bethel football teams have flip flopped victories in the series which resumes at 1:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at the Hambley Athletic Complex.
The Wildcats won 42-10 in 2008, then UPIKE got even in 2009 with a 20-19 decision.
From there it has gone: 2012, Bethel 57-17; 2013, UPIKE 35-24; 2014, Bethel 28-14 and then last season's 22-0 shutout win for UPIKE on the road.
While the teams are an even 3-3 in McKenzie, Tenn., UPIKE does have a 3-1 advantage on its home field. The Bears enter Saturday's contest coming off a 55-14 loss at NCAA Div. I FCS Eastern Kentucky, while the Wildcats topped Cumberlands 34-32 their last time out.
