PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- After starting off the 2017 season with four games in Beaufort, S.C., the University of Pikeville softball team returns home to Paul Butcher Field on Monday for a 6 p.m. ET doubleheader against Alice Lloyd.
The softball under the lights will be streamed live on Pike TV with live stats available on the NAIA DakStats site.
UPIKE enters the games at 0-4 overall after losing two to Coastal Georgia on a neutral field before falling twice against USC-Beaufort, which is receiving votes in the NAIA top-25 poll, on its home field.
Alice Lloyd is 0-6 to start the season, losing twice to Cincinnati Christian before being swept by Northwestern Ohio in a four-game series this past weekend. This is the Eagles first road trip after playing the previous six games in Pippa Passes.
The Bears are 33-0 against Alice Lloyd since records kept dating back to the 2004 season.
Jillian Bohnert is UPIKE's current leader at the plate, hitting .500 with a home run and four RBIs, while Carrie Griffin is hitting .429 in seven at bats and Lee Griffin is at .250 in 12 at bats with three runs scored.
