PIPPA PASSES, Ky. – It was nearly a flawless performance as the University of Pikeville men's tennis team shut out Alice Lloyd 9-0 on the road for its first win of the season.
The Bears (1-2) lost just one game in all six singles matches combined, claiming five of the wins by a 6-0, 6-0 score. The Eagles didn't win any games in doubles, losing the first two matches 8-0 before forfeiting at the third seed.
Alice Lloyd's (0-1) lone game won came in No. 5 singles where UPIKE's Kenton Hall topped Daniel Guzman 6-1, 6-0.
