GAME CENTRAL: How to Follow Football’s Season Opener at Campbellsville

PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Pikeville football team got some big rings last year, but it's a new season and there's no looking back.

The share of the 2016 Mid-South Conference East Division title was a big step for the program, but it's far from the lofty goals fourth-year head coach Allan Holland Jr., wants to see the program achieve. Holland Jr., doesn't shy away from championship expectations and that all starts Thursday night at 7 p.m. ET in Campbellsville.

While UPIKE shined at the end of last season, the Tigers put the final touches on a disappointing campaign.

Ranked in the preseason, Campbellsville went on to finish 2-8 overall, including a winless mark in the MSC West. The Bears won last year's head-to-head matchup 41-34 at home on Sept. 1. This time around though the conference race will look a little different as there are now 20 teams mixed into three separate divisions.

UPIKE is a member of the MSC Appalachian Division, while Campbellsville is in the Bluegrass Division, meaning Thursday night's clash will not count as a conference game.

HOW TO WATCH: The game is being streamed live by the CU Sports Network here.
