Men’s & Women’s Tennis Fall 9-0 at Nationally-Ranked Lindsey Wilson

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Both the University of Pikeville men's and women's tennis teams lost 9-0 at Lindsey Wilson on Wednesday evening. The Blue Raider men are ranked fourth nationally, while the women are ranked fifth in the NAIA.

Devon Sgubin fared the best for the UPIKE men at No. 3 singles where he lost 6-3, 6-2 against 15th-ranked Ivan Solans Diaz. Bailey Horne also won a trio of games in a 6-2, 6-1 loss to third-ranked Denis Porcic at the No. 1 seed.

On the women's side, Andrea Hurtado put up a 6-1, 6-3 effort against 17th-ranked Jovana Peric at the second seed and Camila Agudelo lost 6-1, 6-0 against Lina Sachica Ramos at the fourth seed.

With the losses, the UPIKE men fall to 3-7 overall and 1-4 in the Mid-South Conference and the women are now 7-6 overall and 1-4 in league play.

Lindsey Wilson's men move to a perfect 10-0 overall and 4-0 in the MSC, while the women are 8-2 overall and 4-0 in the MSC as well.
