PIKEVILLE, Ky -- UPIKE's magic ran out on Wednesday as it took its first loss in two weeks, losing to Brescia, 3-0.
After a scoreless first half, it didn't take long for Brescia to find the back of the net in the second when Milton Garcia scored in the 47th minute off a pretty lob pass from Kyle Bleidt. Brescia's lead doubled seven minutes later when Jean Laurent beat
Anibal Navarro.
Pikeville got 13 shots off in the match and a lot of those shots went just wide. Two Bears shots were just a hair away from going in but glanced off the crossbar. One crossbar shot came off a scissor kick from reigning player of the week
Eric Bernabue and the other was an
Aaron Aven header off a corner kick.
Fabian Torres added the third Brescia goal in the 83rd minute to seal the game.
