PIKEVILLE, Ky. – It was tough sledding for UPIKE volleyball on Thursday who lost to No. 9 Lindsey Wilson, 3-0 (25-12, 25-14, 25-6).
Lindsey Wilson performed like one of the top ranked teams in the country, with a .351 attack percentage on the night.
Megan Frazier led the Bears with seven total kills on the night, while Noelani Simpson had six as well as an ace and a team-high 12 digs.
Leigh Johnson, Brittany Reels, and Sarah Clark each also had a solid defensive night with nine, eight, and eight digs respectively. UPIKE outblocked the Blue Raiders 3-2, with Trinity Warfield having a solo block on the night.
UPIKE used the third set to try some new things and put some reserves in, with Samantha Adams recording a kill and Alexis Workman working in a dig in the closing moments.
