PIKEVILLE, Ky. – UPIKE women's basketball jumped out early on top against the Milligan Buffaloes dominating the boards on rebounds and steals with a great defensive effort on Thursday, leading to a big win against Milligan, 84-48.
Freshman
Morgan Stamper ended up securing her first double-double of her career at 16 points and 15 rebounds. Stamper was very aggressive in the paint with eight offensive rebounds. She also went 2-for-2 from behind the arc and helped her teammates with four assists.
Pikeville held the Buffaloes to 37.5 percent shooting through the first quarter.
UPIKE finished on top every quarter with an impressive defensive effort, holding Milligan to an average 12 points each quarter. The Bears scored 42 points in the paint with 30 points off the bench in the game.

Brianna Burbridge's team high 19 points.
Senior
Zaria Hollier came off the bench to control the paint as well with seven rebounds and six points.
The Bears outrebounded Milligan 44-30, while forcing 24 turnovers.
Milligan was led by Jaycie Jenkins who had 14 points, Teal Davis with seven points and Stacia Wilson with five rebounds.
