Bowling Green, KY – Women's bowling freshman Kristina Catoe has been named MSC Women's Bowler of the Week. Conference officials announced the honor Tuesday, following Catoe's title winning performance at the Cincinnati Collegiate Classic over the weekend.

Coach Bobby Brown's squad has blazed through competition to start the 2021 season, earning two wins and a runner-up finish. The team has also earned MSC Bowler of the Week honors for three straight weeks, with this being the first for Catoe in her collegiate career.

Catoe, a first-year Bear from Mooresville, NC notched her first individual title at the Cincinnatti Collegiate Classic after knocking down 1858 pins throughout nine games. She bowled her best score of the day in game three, scoring 254 which was also one of the five best single-game scores of the entire competition.

Catoe wrapped up on Sunday with a four-pin advantage over runner-up Kiara Abanto of Cumberlands to take the title in the 35 person competition.

Catoe and company return to the lanes on Sunday, January 31^st for the Thomas More Classic in Erlanger, KY.
