Marietta, GA – Men's soccer traveled south on Friday afternoon for a midday match with MSC foe Life University in what would result in a 5-0 shutout for the Bears. The loss drops the Bears to 1-10 (1-7 MSC), while the Running Eagles improve to 5-5-1 (3-3-1 MSC).

The Running Eagles fired 17 shots in the first half alone and would total 30 in the contest with 16 going on goal. UPIKE managed eight shots, three on-goal.

Jalen Smith had his third best outing of the season with 11 saves, finishing with a 67% save percentage. Favio Govea was the offensive stand-out for the Bears, sending four shots including one shot on goal. Anthony Aguilar and Nikolay Nikolov also recorded a shot on goal in the contest.

The Bears are back in Pikeville for their next matchup with the Wildcats of Bethel University which is slated for Thursday, October 21^st at 6:30 PM.
