Benjamin Bailey has been named MSC Men's Bowler of the Week.
Bailey's career performance began on Saturday as the Bears competed in the MSC's Lynne Jordan Invitational where the sophomore finished with an overall score of 1094 to earn fourth place out of over 200+ athletes. The Florida native tallied 218.8 pins per game and was just one pin shy of a third-place finish.
On Sunday, Bailey topped the pervious performance with a runner-up showing at the Thomas Burris Invitational. Bailey broke 200 in all five games, averaging 231.2 pins to finish with a total of 1156. The second place performance earned him a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
Bailey scored 200 or above in eight of 10 games over the weekend, averaging 224.4 pins. The Bears finished second at the Thomas Burris Memorial with a score of 7865, falling just 15 pins short of Webber International.
This MSC weekly award is the first of Bailey's career and the first for UPIKE men's bowling this season.
