BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One UPike men's bowler was selected first-team all-conference and five teammates made the second team, it was announced on Friday morning.

The Mid-South Conference released the all-conference squads with sophomore
Andrew Robitaille on the eight-player first-team.
Â
He was joined on the second team by
Ryan Crawford,
Lucas Ellis,
Larry Iagulli,
Josh Maslanich and
Daniel Robertson.
Â
Marquis Stover was named to the Champions of Character team, while a league-leading 14 Bears were named Academic All-Conference. Â

While all-conference players are selected based on their stats in league tournaments and events, Robitaille, of Pittsfield, Mass., is averaging 213.837 this season with a differential of 24.969. He five Top 10 finishes this season with three of them in the Top 5.

Robitaille was a second-team selection as a freshman.
Â
Crawford is a senior from Huntersville, N.C. He has bowled to an average of 200 this season. Ellis is a sophomore from Snow Hill, N.C., who averaged 199.121. Iagulli is a senior from Austintown, Ohio, who averaged 205.778 with a top five finish.

Maslanich, a junior from North Royalton, Ohio, repeats on the all-conference team, averaged 211.846 with a differential of 22.146. He posted two Top 5 finishes and four Top 10 tournaments.

Robertson, a sophomore from Jackson, N.J., averaged 206.407 this season with a pair of Top 10 finishes.

Stover is a sophomore from Rock Hill, S.C. Those honored on the Champions of Character Team were nominated by their coaches based on their leadership on and off campus, as well as their demonstration of the five core character values of the NAIA.

To be nominated for the academic all-conference team, by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and be in their third term or fourth quarter.

In order to be eligible for conference honors, bowlers must bowl in 70 percent of conference games. All-conference team members bowled in at least 12 of the 16 regular-season games.
