Pikeville, KY – The University of Pikeville women's cross-country team has signed Madelyn Sohns, a native of Spokane Valley, Washington for the upcoming season. Sohns attended Central Valley High School in Veradale, Washington and posted a personal best of 22:23 in the 5k during her high school career.

Outside of cross country, Sohns goes to True Hope Church and is one of four siblings, which includes having a twin sister. Other hobbies include snowboarding and hiking.

She works at Starbucks and is currently enrolled in Running Start, which allows her to take college courses while she is still in high school. She joins two other UPIKE women's cross-country runners in a growing roster.
