Bowling Green, KY – UPIKE men's bowling junior
Parker Spencer has been named the Mid-South Conference Men's Bowler of the Week following his title winning performance at the Brandon Burns Memorial Tournament over the weekend.
The weekly honor is the first for Spencer who hails from Louisville, KY and the second for the men's bowling program of the season. The Bears finished runner-up at the Brandon Burns Memorial Tournament over the weekend with a team score of 9356.
Spencer claimed the individual title after knocking down 1364 pins with an average of 227.3 per game. The JV bowler topped runner-up individual Jeffery Mann by 10 pins to earn the first-place spot. Spencer's best game was a 246 which he recorded in game two. This is the first career weekly honor for Spencer and was his best performance to date.
UPIKE men's bowling holds the top national ranking according to the United States Bowling Congress through three events and is currently third in the MSC rankings.
The Bears return to the lanes on February 27
th for the Thomas Burris Memorial Tournament which will be held in Louisville, KY.
