Bowling Green, KY – An impressive 18 student-athletes from UPIKE softball were named to the MSC All-Academic Team, conference officials announced Tuesday. UPIKE had the second highest number on the list behind Cumberlands who had 19.
Two academic sophomores made the list as
Erin Bolen and
Alyssa Franklin received their first ever MSC Academic awards.
Alexis Hall,
Elizabeth Hickey,
Zoe Ingram,
Macy Jones,
Haley Karr,
Mattea Ware, and Jayda Young all earned the distinction to represent the junior class. Hall, Hickey, and Karr claim the award for the second consecutive season.
The senior class had the most represented with nine including three-year academic award winners
Megan Claypoole, Kirsten Moore, and
Haley Osborne.
Alysha Bolling, Katie Campbell, Makayla Hall,
Natalie Joyce and Maggie Sheffer win the award for the second straight season while Skylynn Brown earns her first academic distinction.
Zoe Ingram added another accolade to her repertoire as she was named UPIKE softball's MSC Champions of Character representative.
A total of 160 student-athletes from across the conference earned the award. In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least sophomore academic status.
