Pikeville, KY – UPIKE men's basketball is ready to rollout it's 2021-22 signee announcements and in the first installment we introduce Memphis-born Maurice Dickson. Dickson is part of an exciting class of recruits that brings an impressive array of talent to Tigh Compton's squad.

Dickson, a 6'7", 205-pound transfer from Cleveland State Community College comes locked and loaded after a season where he averaged 10.9 points per game for the Cougars. Playing in 18 games and starting 17, Dickson shot 44.6% on the season and averaged 4.6 rebounds.

"Reese is going to be a great addition to our program," said Head Coach Tigh Compton, "He's a good athlete with a good, versatile skill set. He can impact a game both inside the paint and outside of the three-point line, with the ability to guard most positions on the floor."

Dickson is a product of the GRAD Academy in Memphis, making his collegiate debut at Cleveland State in 2018-19. The freshman dropped just under 10 points per game and played in 28 games before redshirting for the 2019-20 season.

In 2020-21, the Cougars claimed the TCCAA East Division Championship and Dickson's performance earned him First Team All-TCCAA East honors.

"He brings a lot of things to the table that we are looking to add in this class. Good positional size, length, and athleticism. He also brings a high level of passion and competitiveness with him to the floor every day. We're really looking forward to having Reese on campus this Fall!"
