Pikeville, KY – The University of Pikeville men's track and field team competed at the Kentucky Intercollegiate Indoor Meet Saturday afternoon in Louisville, KY at the Norton Indoor Complex. They finished fifth overall in the meet.

Noah Thomas,
Ethan Rowe, and
Ethan Moore were all in action for the Bears.
Thomas picked up a victory and 10 points for the Bears in the shot put with a toss of 13.76m, besting second place by 0.57 meters. In the weight throw, Thomas came in second with a throw of 15.16m, which was 0.05 meters short of tying for first place. He earned eight points for UPIKE in the event. This was a new personal best for Thomas and a new program record.
Allums competed in both the 200m and 400m events. In the 200, he ran a 22.97 to set a new personal best while the 400 saw him run a 55.70 and earn three points for the Bears.
In the shot put, Rowe earned a mark of 10.98m. In the weight throw, he finished fifth at 12.42m to earn four points for UPIKE.
Moore set a pair of personal bests in the shot put (9.75m) and the weight throw (10.19m).

UPIKE will return to action next Friday, January 28th where they compete in the Tiger Paw Classic hosted by Campbellsville University and Georgetown University. They will be competing once again at the Norton Indoor Complex in Louisville, KY.
