Men's Track and Field Rick Bentley

16 T&F athletes make AAC Academic All-Conference team

 
WALESKA, Ga. – The Appalachian Athletics Conference has announced the Academic All-Conference teams for men's and women's track and field.
 
The University of Pikeville is represented by 16 student-athletes, eight from each team.
 
To qualify for the Academic All-Conference team, student-athletes must be a sophomore or higher, have a minimum of 3.25 grade-point average and have completed at least one semester at their institution.
 
The women's team from UPike is represented by Sierra Allen, Gabby Cook, Hailey Little, Lauren Mann, Jasmine Meade, Faith Newsom, Carlie Osborne and Gisele Young.
 
From the men's team, Bruce Coleman, David Exum, Lucas Gibson, Zeke Hagley, Zach Mason, Alex Rogers, Jay'Qwan Walker and Gunter Young made the list.
 
The UPike track and field teams are finishing up the regular season this weekend with two tournaments, beginning Friday at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
 
The NAIA national championships will be held May 20-22 at Karl Straus Track in Ashville, N.C.
