Bowling Green, Ky. – Women's golf closed the book on the 2022 fall campaign Tuesday, finishing seventh of 11 teams at the MSC Fall Invitational.
The Bears shot 1017 through 54-holes, finishing one stroke behind sixth place Freed-Hardeman. The Bears shot scores of 346, 345, and 336. Cumberland University claimed the team win, carding a score of 947 including the tournament low score of 309 in round three.
Sophia Beverly was the Bears' top finisher for the first time this season, landing tied for 15
th with a three-round score of 243. Beverly carded her best score in the third round, shooting a 79 (+7), after tallying an 82 (+10) in both the first and second rounds. Beverly carded two birdies in the tournament.

Renee Crooks who shot a 252, also shooting her best round on Tuesday with an 81 (+9). Sister
Carly Crooks tied for 32
nd, shooting scores of 88, 83, and 87 to finish at +42.
Lauren Holmes finished 45
th with a 268, while Gabby Blankenship came in at 50
th with a 276. Individual Lauren Messer tied for 53
rd with a three round score of 282.
The Bears wrap up the fall campaign with three wins under their belt and three podium finishes, they will return to action in the spring. The 2023 spring schedule will be released in the coming weeks.
