Bowling Green, Ky. - The Mid-South Conference announced the MSC football Academic All-Conference Honors. The football Champions of Character Team was announced as well.
To be nominated for MSC Academic All-Conference Honors, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must also be in their third term or fourth quarter. Those who are nominated to the Champions of Character Team are chosen by their coaches for displaying leadership on campus, in their community and by demonstrating the five core values the NAIA embraces.
Among the Bears who earned Academic All-Conference Honors were Christopher Allen, Colt Asher, Frank Baker, Cameron Brown, Chandler Brown, Kody Estacio, Derrick Griffith II, Edward Hickson, Michael Hobby, Matthew Horn, Bradyn Hunter, Maddox Jackson, Myson Livingston, Adrian Medacco, Bryan Miller, Jonathan Morton, Ethan Offutt, William Rudeseal, Jacquez Russ, Elijah Stallard and Jakob Headley. Headley was nominated for the Champions of Character Team for the first time in his career.
Livingston, Horn, Hunter and Stallard were nominated for the third time while Russ and Medacco were nominated for the second time. Allen, Asher, Baker, Cameron Brown, Chandler Brown, Estacio, Griffith, Hickson, Hobby, Jackson, Miller, Morton, Offutt, Rudeseal and Headley were all first time honorees.
UPIKE football was well represented in the classroom and set a program-record with 21 Bears earning Academic All-Conference Honors. Today's announcement is a big one for the UPIKE football program as it continues to build momentum for the future.
