Powder Springs, Ga. – Bears wrestling competed at the Life University open on Saturday, led by Nate Greene who scored a pair of team points for the Bears in the 174 Freshman/Sophomore bracket.

Greene opened with a bye before facing Lander's Justin Good in the second round. Greene scored eight points, winning 8-5 by decision. In the quarterfinal matchup against Christian Cabo of St. Francis, Greene was defeated 6-0 by decision.

Aiden Vega competed in the 174 Freshman/Sophomore bracket as well, winning in the second round of consolation over St. Thomas' Kalvin Guzman. Vega recorded his third victory of the season via 6-2 decision. Vega was defeated by tech fall in the third round of consolation.

Randall West made his second appearance for the Bears this season, competing in the Open 184 where he was defeated by Blah Dahnweih of UNC-Pembroke. West was pinned by William Parker of Truett-McConnell in the second round of consolation after battling for 4:29.

Gavin Hunt fell in the opening round of the 285 Open class via pin from Byron Pierce of Midway in 2:36. Hunt's day ended with a fall in 1:23 in the second round of consolation.
