Smyrna, Tenn. – Women's bowling wrapped up a successful weekend at the Brandon Burns Memorial on Sunday, featuring a third-place finish from the varsity unit as well as first and second place finishes by the JV teams.
UPIKE totaled 8461 pins through six team games and 16 baker games, finishing third behind winner Tennessee-Southern and runner-up Milligan. After the weekend's action, the Bears sit in second in the MSC standings with an overall conference record of 30-3. Tennessee Southern holds the top spot with a 31-2 record.
The Bears' varsity squad started out hot, dropping 1074 pins in the first team game which would finish as the second-best single game score of the tournament. At the end of day one, UPIKE was in third with 5499 pins.
UPIKE's teams notched the two best scores in the JV bracket led by JV1 who secured the title with 8001 pins. JV2 nabbed runner-up with 7689.
Reigning MSC Freshman of the Year
Erica Warne was the top individual finisher for the Bears as she totaled 1167 pins. Warne finished ninth overall of 129 bowlers, averaging 194.5 pins per game.

th was
Stephanie Crider who dropped 1139 pins, averaging 189.83.
Lexia Stolakis and
Nicole Gilbert rounded out the top-20 finishers for the Bears, finishing 19
th and 20
th, respectively.

th as they head to Louisville for the All-NAIA Tier 1 event.
