Bowling Green, KY – The Mid-South Conference announced the men's basketball Academic All Mid-South Conference and Champions of Character teams this afternoon. In order to be nominated for academic all-conference, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must be in their third term or fourth quarter. Jacob Brown represented the Bears on the Champions of Character team.

The Bears had five players named to the team. Kevin Bishop II, Korbin Spencer, Christian Sweazie, Taevon Horton, and Brown were all honored for UPIKE. 

This is the second time that Spencer, Sweazie, Horton, and Brown have been named to the academic team in their UPIKE careers and the first time for Bishop II.

UPIKE will be back in action on Saturday for the MSC Tournament Quarterfinals against the top-seeded Thomas More University Saints in Bowling Green at 1:30 p.m. ET and 12:30 p.m. CT.
