Campbellsville, KY – The University of Pikeville softball team dropped their final two games at Campbellsville University Saturday afternoon, 11-1 and 8-0.
Sophie Kluesner,
Lillie Kluesner, and
Kendall Hillard all had two hits on the day while
Zoe Ingram brought in the RBI for the Bears in game one.
Zoey Keeton and
Megan Nethercutt also worked walks for UPIKE in the first contest.
The Bears tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the second in game one after an Ingram single to center field scored Hillard, who had singled to left center to start the inning. UPIKE had runners on first and second in the fifth inning, but weren't able to bring them in.
In the second game, the Bears had runners in scoring position in two innings, but were unable to bring anyone home.
What's Up Next
UPIKE will return to action on Tuesday afternoon at West Virginia Tech, with game one scheduled for 1:00 p.m. These two teams met in Pikeville this season on Mar. 3 where they split the doubleheader.
