Juan Diego Medina has been named MSC Academic All-Conference, conference officials announced Tuesday afternoon.
Medina joined 57 other student-athletes from across the conference to earn the academic recognition, claiming his first academic honor. The Colombia native was also named to the MSC Champions of Character team.
In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least sophomore academic status.
Medina and the Bears are currently receiving votes in the national poll and are in the midst of their first winning season since 2016. The Bears are primed for the start of the MSC Tournament which begins on Friday, April 22
nd in Bowling Green. The quarterfinals matchup against Campbellsville begins at 12:30 PM.
