Bowling Green, KY – The Mid-South Conference announced their softball Academic All Mid-South Conference and Champions of Character teams this morning. In order to be nominated for academic all-conference, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must be in their third term or fourth quarter.
The Bears were second in the conference with 21 honorees, which is a program record. The athletes that were named are
Carolyn Alincic, Brooklyn Baker,
Carrie Boyd, Skylynn Brown,
Katelyn Byrd, Katie Campbell,
Alyssa Franklin, Alexis Hall, Makayla Hall,
Elizabeth Hickey,
Zoe Ingram,
Macy Jones,
Haley Karr,
Lillie Kluesner,
Sophie Kluesner,
Katlyn Mullins,
Megan Nethercutt,
Jamie Pollard, Maggie Sheffer,
Mattea Ware, and Jayda Young. Ingram was also named to the Champions of Character team for the second straight year.
This is the third time being honored for Campbell, Alexis and Makayla Hall, Hickey, Karr, and Sheffer. Being honored for the second time are Brown, Franklin, Ingram, Jones, Ware, and Young. Earning their first honors are Alincic, Baker, Boyd, Byrd, Lillie and
Sophie Kluesner, Mullins, Nethercutt, and Pollard.
