Georgetown, KY – UPIKE baseball kept their postseason alive Friday afternoon, winning game one with Georgetown 5-4 behind an impressive start from Jairemy Pulido and finish from Grayson Harris. The Bears would split on the day, falling 10-0 in game two.

Pulido took the the mound in game one and went eight complete innings, allowing four runs (3E) on seven hits. Grayson Harris came in for crunch time, pitching innings nine and ten to take the win and hold the Tigers scoreless.

Game one saw Tyler Freas have one of the best performances of the season for the sophomore, clubbing three hits. Freas scored a pair of runs and notched an RBI while Eduardo Bello, Noah Helton, and Cam Revolt all tagged multi-hit games.

Helton doubled to left center field to open the eighth frame, scoring on a wild pitch later in the inning to tie the game at 2-2. Then in the ninth, both Freas and Bello knocked RBIs which put the Bears ahead 4-2.

Georgetown tied the game in the bottom of the ninth frame, sending the game to extras. The Bears would take the go ahead run in the top of the 10th via a single from Revolt that scored Sartin. Harris closed the door on the Tigers as the Bears took the victory.
