Game One
Shawnee State jumped out to a 7-0 lead after two innings to take command of the opening contest. UPIKE didn't help their cause as a pair of errors led to four unearned runs in the second frame. They increased their lead to 8-0 and would come away with the victory.
Game Two
Shawnee State got off to another solid start in the final game, taking advantage of a pair of hits and an error to take a 2-0 lead. Their lead would grow to 8-0 heading into the bottom of the fifth.
UPIKE was able to keep the game going in the inning, with a pair of runs to make it 8-2.
Sophie Kluesner hit a single, and a sacrifice bunt and foul out would get her to third base. With the game on the line, Ingram beat out an infield single to give the Bears a run.
Alexis Roby would single up the middle later in the inning to bring in another run heading to the sixth.
Shawnee State would add five more runs in the top of the inning. UPIKE took advantage of an error in the bottom of the sixth, allowing
Madison Mullins to hit a two-RBI single with two outs, but it wasn't enough as the Bears fell 13-4.
