Louisville, Ky. – UPIKE men's bowling secured the program's seventh MSC Regular Season title following a pair of wins over the weekend. The Bears claimed the top team spot in both the Lynne Jordan and Thomas Burris Memorial tournaments, also fielding the two individual winners.
The tournaments finalize the MSC schedule which saw the Bears dominate the competition with a 54-1 record in conference events. UPIKE easily claimed the top spot in the conference standings, ahead of runner-up UT-Southern (50-5) and third place Cumberlands (40-15).

First up on Saturday was the Lynne Jordan Memorial tournament which consisted of five team games and 12 baker games. UPIKE's varsity unit knocked down 8,003 pins which bested runner-up Webber by 171 pins. UT-Southern finished third, followed by Cumberlands, and Lindenwood.
The Bears opened up team play with a 1,072 which was the highest score in game one. Game three saw the Bears total 1,143 pins to secure the highest single game score in the tournament. UPIKE headed into baker play with 5,418 pins led by over 200 pins. The success continued in baker play, dropping 200-plus pins in nine of 12 games to finish with a 2,585 baker total.
The Bears placed three individuals in the top ten, lead by
Bryce Oliver who finished second with 1165 pins. Lindenwood's Emmaunel McPherson took the top spot by just seven pins. The junior recorded his best score in game four with a 258. Oliver averaged 233 pins per game, and claims all-tournament for the sixth time this season.
Elijah Mayberry managed his second-best performance of the season, totaling 1,117 pins to finish sixth overall. Christopher LeSueur placed ninth with a 1,082 pin total. Also in the top-15 was
Ryan Taylor whose 1,045 pin total placed him 13
th.

The quick turnaround after Saturday's win didn't seem to matter for the Bears who continued to dominate in Sunday's Thomas Burris Memorial. The varsity unit earned their eighth win of the season, totaling 8,517 pins. Webber once again claimed second with 8,421 pins while UT-Southern earned third with a 8,274 pin total.
UPIKE once again cruised through team play, totaling more than 1,100 pins in each of the five games to lead with 5,780 pin total heading into baker play. The Bears totaled 2,737 pins which was the third highest in the tournament, securing the second win of the weekend.
Mayberry charted his best performance of the season on Sunday, claiming the individual title with 1,258 pins. The Mechanicsburg, Ohio native recorded the second-highest single game score in the tournament with a 289 in game five, and finished with an average of 251.6 pins per game.
Taylor also earned himself an All-Tournament distinction, placing third overall with 1,200 pins. The junior claims his first top five finish of the season, knocking down 200 or more pins in four of five games, including a 277 high in game one.
Oliver claimed ninth overall with a 1,167 pin total, averaging 233.4 pins per game.
The impressive weekend is another milestone for the Bears who have continued to prove themselves as one of the top program's in the country. The team has recorded eight wins and stand atop the USBC Power Rankings for the first time in program history.
