Laurinburg, N.C. - UPIKE men's soccer was kept off the scoreboard St. Andrews by a final count of 7-0 Friday afternoon.
After a pair of UPIKE corner kicks in the 7' and 8', the Knights countered. SAU got on the board first after Pablo Diezhandino connected with Matteo Sala in the 10' for the match's first goal.
Four minutes after notching an assist, Diezhandino scored a penalty kick goal to put the Knights up 2-0.
The Knights added three more first half goals in the 20', 25' and 42'.
In the second half, UPIKE took two shots, but none found the back of the net. St. Andrew would add goals in the 58' and 72' and took this one 7-0.
Men's soccer now sits at 5-9-2 (2-7-2 AAC) following Friday afternoon's result. Next up for Coach Shaun Schetka's squad is a road trip to Cleveland, Ga., for a match with Truett McConnell Wednesday afternoon.
